1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Rentloge ("the Platform"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile application, and services. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Platform's Role as an Intermediary

This Platform operates solely as an online intermediary providing a digital space where landlords and tenants can connect, communicate, and independently enter into rental arrangements. The Platform does not act as a broker, agent, property manager, or legal representative of any user.

3. No Responsibility for Rent Act Formalities

The Platform, its owners, employees, partners, and representatives do not undertake, perform, facilitate, or advise on any statutory, legal, or regulatory requirements under any applicable Rent Act or tenancy-related legislation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Registration of tenancy agreements
• Police verification
• Payment of stamp duty or registration fees
• Compliance under the Model Tenancy Act or any State-specific Rent Control Acts
• Filing of forms, notices, declarations, or government submissions

All such formalities and legal obligations remain solely the responsibility of the landlord and tenant.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You may be required to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the Platform or its users. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: fraud, misrepresentation, posting false or misleading information, harassing other users, and distributing spam.

6. No Verification of Legal Compliance

The Platform does not verify whether users have complied with legal, statutory, or regulatory duties. Users are strongly advised to obtain independent legal advice regarding their rights and obligations under applicable laws.

7. No Guarantee of Property, Identity, or Information

The Platform does not guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, or completeness of any information submitted by users, including property details, ownership documents, identity information, or terms of rental. Users must conduct their own due diligence before entering into any agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform shall not be liable for any:

• loss, damage, penalty, or legal consequence arising from non-compliance of Rent Act obligations;
• dispute between landlord and tenant;
• fraud, misrepresentation, or breach of contract by any user;
• government action, notice, or penalty due to incomplete or incorrect compliance.

All interactions between users occur at their own risk.

9. Independent Agreements

Any tenancy or rental agreement executed between users is strictly an independent contract between landlord and tenant. The Platform is not a party to such agreements and bears no liability arising from them.

10. User Responsibility

By using the Platform, you agree that:

• You are solely responsible for verifying and complying with all legal requirements.
• You will independently ensure fulfilment of Rent Act formalities.
• You will not hold the Platform responsible for any legal or financial consequences.

11. Intellectual Property

The Rentloge name, logo, and all related content on the Platform are the exclusive property of Rentloge and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Your City, State].
